Hi there! I’m Frann Lanyon, though you’ll likely hear people around here calling me Francie or Franny. I’m a Marquette native through and through, growing up right here as the fifth of seven children. My life is full of love thanks to my soulmate, Jim, my two wonderful kids, Jason and Lisa, and the absolute best grandkids I could have ever asked for.

My journey into the world of hair started back in 1993 at NMU. After making the Dean’s List every single semester, I just knew I’d found my calling. I officially joined Head Hunters Salon in September 1994, back when we were located on Baraga Ave. Over the decades, I’ve seen a lot of changes, including a big move to Washington St. and eventually taking over the salon three years ago. Through every transition, my bond with this community and my dear friend Tanya has only grown stronger.

Starting my 32nd year behind the chair, I can honestly say this is the best job ever. It has allowed me to be there for every school play and milestone for my family, all thanks to my amazing clients who treat me like one of their own. I always tell everyone: if I ever won the lottery, I’d still be right here doing your hair for free because I love what I do that much!
